Welcome
Welcome to the Tullamore Junior Parish Pastoral Councils website! We are a parish youth group whose main aim is to be the voice of the youth within our parish and to try and involve young people more in church life. We work within the parish organising prayer services and decorating the church at Christmas. We also work in the wider community as we strive to become active citizens within our community.
We are comprised of about 25 secondary school students who work on a purely voluntary basis. Our youngest members are just starting secondary school and our eldest members are currently fifth year students. The council is run democratically and members elect the Officers annually by way of secret ballot. All members are welcome to nominate and be nominated to a position.
After this years election we have set ourselves many goals, one of which was to establish a website to provide people with condensed information about our council and our work. This is our first attempt at construsting a website so we hope you can bear with us as we find our feet on the world wide web.
The website contains plenty of information about the council and its history, its council members past and present, it's main achievements to date, its plans for the future, contact details, a photo gallery and links to other similar sites. We hope you enjoy our website.
